  • 1944-1945 - Referee at the Romanian Commission for Armistice Application

  • 1946-1948 - Attaché of Legation at the Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania. Wanted by "Securitate" (Intelligence Service), he succeeds to escape and lives clandestinely in Câmpulung town till 1956

  • 1956-1959 - Scientific Researcher at the Romanian Academy Institute for Arts History, Section for Old Art 

  • 1959 - Arrested and condemned to 14 years of forced labor

  • 1964 - Freed by Decree and reintegrated into the same Institute, Section for Theatre

  • 1967-1970 - Literary Secretary, Theatre "C.I.Nottara", Bucharest

  • 1970-1976 - Editor, "Cartea Româneasca" Publishing House

  • February 1 - June 7, 1990 - Ambassador of Romania to France

  • 1992-1996 - Senator, Party of the Civic Alliance (PAC) and independent, Arges Electoral District

  • 1996-2000 - Senator, National Liberal Party, Vrancea Electoral District
