Born: August 28, 1951, Timisoara. Son of Teodor and Paraschiva (b. Ilea)

Married to Aura (1972). Two daughters: Mihaela and Teodora- Nicoleta

Citizenship

  • 1980 - settled in Canada, Montreal and gets the Canadian Citizenship

Studies

  • 1970 - graduate of the High School nr. 10, Timisoara
  • 1972 - Post Secondary School of Foreign Trade, Bucharest
  • 1978 - Faculty of Phylology, Department for Romanian-English Languages and Literatures, University "Vasile Parvan", Timisoara
  • 1986 - diploma in Education, specialty English as a Second Language, McGill University

Career

  • Since 1986 - professor of English Language, Commission of Catholic Schools in Montreal
  • Since 1992 - teaching English at Marymount Academy, Adult Education Center (E.M.S.B.)

Editorial Activity

  • Director-founder of the revue Luceafarul romanesc (The Romanian Morning Star), published in Montreal since 1990
  • Chief Editor of the yearbook ARA Journal, published by the Romanian-American Academy of Sciences and Arts (since July 2000)

Other activities

  • Takes active part in the activities organized by the Romanian Community in Montreal and other cities of Canada and USA
  • Founder of the Department "Periodicals" at the Library of the Romanian Cultural Center in Montreal
  • Organizer of the exhibitions " Eminescu's Centennial", "The Events of December 1989", at the Romanian Cultural Center in Montreal
  • Organizer of the First Exhibition of Romanian Anticommunist Newspapers (published in exile), on the occasion of the First Forum of the Romanian Press from Everywhere, Cotroceni Palace, Bucharest,(1999)
  • Organizer of the Exhibition of photos and documents "The Royal Family Regala", in Kitchener City, Waterloo University, Hilton Hotel in Toronto (1992) and Regent Wall Street Hotel in New York (may 2000)
