Professional Career
- Trainee prosecutor at Prosecutor's Bureau, Bolintin Vale and at Prosecutor's Bureau of Bucharest First District
- 1991-1992 - attaché, Judicial and Treaties Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- 1992-1996 - successively third secretary, second secretary and first secretary, Directorate for Human Rights. Appointed Deputy Director for Human Rights
- 1996 - appointed director at Directorate for European Union and shortly general director of the General Directorate for European and Euro-Atlantic Organizations
(EU, NATO, OSCE)
- 1998 - obtains the degree of diplomatic counselor
- 1999-2000 - ambassador of Romania to Netherlands and standing representative to the Organization for banning the chemical weapons
(OIAC).
- Since December 29, 2000 - secretary of state for integration and multilateral affairs

- President, Youth Commission of the Romanian Association of Humaniatarian Law (1990 - 1991)
- Headed Romanian delegations to international meetings under the aegis of
UNO, Council of Europe, OSCE, European Union and took part in the negotiations concerning the basic political treaties with neighboring countries (1992 - 1996)
