Education

  • 1976-1980 - High School of Choreography, Bucharest

  • 1990-1991 - Academy of Theatrical and Film Art "Ion Luca Caragiale", Bucharest, Choreography Department

  • 1991-1996 - Academy of Theatrical and Film Art "Ion Luca Caragiale", Bucharest, Staging Department

Artistic Career

  • Since 1992, staged 12 performances in Romania, like: "Wedding" (Tchechov), "Requiem" (Eugen Ionesco), "The Merry Wives of Windsor", "Romeo and Juliet" and others.
  • Since 1995 to 2000 staged six plays in Hungary, the casting including both Romanian (non-speaking Hungarian) and Hungarian actors, with texts in both languages - a unique experience.
  • By end of year 2000, she staged "The Flying Dutch" opera (R.Wagner), at National Opera of Bucharest.
  • August 19, 2005-July 11, 2007 - Artistic Director of the National Theatre Constanta
  • 2006 - guest director of USC USC Department of Theatre and Dance, South Carolina, for the production The Good Person of Setzhuan

Prizes and Awards

  • Prize "The Best Performance" with "Wedding", at the Festival of Comedy, Bucharest (1992)

  • "UNITER Prize for Debut" with "Requiem" (1993)

  • Nominated for "UNITER Prize for Debut" with "The Merry Wives of Windsor" (1994)

  • First Prize for Staging with "Romeo and Juliet", at the Festival of Young Stage Directors (Iasi, 1994)

  • Public's Prize with "Romeo and Juliet" at International Theatre Festival (Piatra Neamt, 1994)

  • Nominated as "The Woman of 1998 Year" by "Avantaje" Magazine
