LIVIU SUHAR
Plastic Artist
Professor of Painting
Credo:
I often wonder - when my returning inside me
full of questions, evaluations, hopes and regrets, brings me to the
state of feeling myself in front of time in relation to space and the
whole world, and when a deep melancholy taken to despair overwhelms me
- what would I have done if PAINTING had not existed, this art that
has been opening every dawn of the days in my entire life, the way
toward searching for meanings and answers to the same question: What
am I born for?
I am faithfully dedicated to this art seeking
myself in every drawing and painting, equally contemplating my
contemporary “self-seekers” and especially to the great masters
who became classics over the centuries, by listening to their secret
advice of their masterpieces.
The power of creation to an artist is a God
given gift. As a painter I am striving not to waste it. Following the
Christian model, upon my strengths, I always think about growing this
gift for the well-being, peace and joy of my fellow-men.
Born on February 17, 1943 in Iacobeni, Suceava county,
Romania.
